Registered Professional Forester (R.P.F.) #2972, ISA Certified Arborist ON-2850A

Consulting Arborist & Forestry Technician

Brock-Bell

Brock has attained over 5 years of experience in the Arboriculture and Urban Forestry consulting industry. With a passion for working outdoors, Brock excels at tree identification & tree inventories, forestry field assessments, forest ecology, tree appraisal/valuation, shrub/plant entomology and pathology identification, and outcome-based forest management.

Brock graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor of Science in Forestry (BScF), and from Sir Sandford Fleming College with a Forestry Technician (FT) diploma.  He has also completed an Arboriculture Apprenticeship with Humber College before joining Landmark Environmental Group Ltd.

Since joining LEGroup Ltd. Brock has earned his Certified Arborist designation with International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) and most recently he has successfully completed his Registered Professional Foresters designation (R.P.F.) with the Ontario Professional Foresters Association (OPFA) and his Managed Forest Plan Approver designation with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MFPA).  These achievements acknowledge his expertise as a passionate forest and arboricultural steward.

As part of Brock’s recent designation as an R.P.F., we are able to expand and develop comprehensive urban forest management plans to ensure sustainable and responsible use of our urban forest resources. This is achieved by assessing the current state of the forest, identifying management goals, and create plans that balance ecological, social, and economic considerations. In addition, Brock can help navigate the project by planning ecological restoration, coordinate timber harvesting, conduct wildlife habitat assessments, aid in preparing environmental impact assessments, conduct silviculture planning and assist in forest certification (such as FSC).  The benefit of having an R.P.F. on staff is that your project can have access to expertise in sustainable forestry practices, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance, ultimately contributing to the long-term health and productivity of forested areas.

In addition, Brock is Tree Appraisal Qualified with Arboriculture Canada and is trained with Tree Radar Inc. for the Ground Penetrating Radar system.

Brock is committed to continuous learning and is excited to contribute as a respected member in the forestry and arboricultural industries and he is currently working towards his certification as a Pesticide Applicator with the Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP).
